Cleaning your monkey
Cleaning your monkey
Yeah, they all get nasty at some point - but aren't you glad that shit didn't go into your lungs?!?!
One of the primary goals in designing the Mason Monkey was ease in cleaning. The best solvent is ethanol 65% or higher (130+ proof). The two best sources are hand cleaner and grain alcohol.
Pump or pour your solvent of choice into the soiled parts.
Be sure to use enough on both parts and let the extra flow into a zip storage bag.
Seal the bag and let the parts marinate for several hours. Agitate the parts inside the bag to help dissolve the crap.
(If you are in a hurry, use a pipe cleaner to help but if you are patient, the ethyl will do it for you.
Cleaning the jar is even easier, just apply the solvent to a paper towel and wipe the crap away.
